Kichari Cleanse for Spring Balance

Thinking about a spring cleanse?

Fasting on kichari, a combination of white basmati rice and mung beans slowly cooked together,  makes for a wonderful and nutrative cleanse that is also delicious. Ideally one should prep for the cleanse for 2-3 days by cutting out heavy and inflammatory foods like dairy, red meat, wheat and sugar, although this step is just optional.
